after indomitably serving the community for many years, dedicated to sticking it to the proverbial man and just generally being bad company, Paradox Backlash has some sad news and some happy news. True to tradition, the sad news go first.

Paradox BAcklash will be playing their last concert on february 22nd, at 1000fryd, Aalborg. After this concert, paradox backlash will cease to exist. the reason for this is, that we all feel we need a change of scenery. paradox backlash has been sinking deeper and deeper into the background as a side-project to our numerous other bands (5+ bands, and various projects on top of that), so instead of electro-shocking a dead horse, we've decided to call it quits.

Now for the happy happy news. the spirit of paradox backlash will live on in a new band: stødtand! the details of this band are still a bit shady, but we promise that stødtand will feature the same old members in a new and refreshing lineup.

We still have some recordings lying around (five to be exact), which we will finish and release in some form, so you can still expect to hear a bit of new pb material, hopefully within a month or so.

On another note, gigavolt is thriving, and will be playing their first show on february 28th, also at 1000fryd, aalborg. be there or be tony blair! a new gigavolt website and an album are also in the works, and will most likely be completed and released before the paradox backlash material.

Paradox backlash humbly thanks the wonderful kids of denmark, and would like to express a final, big fuzzy warm *fuck you* to the queen.

our very own vocalist johans record company has finally got a website! you can find it at www.ghostdrome.com, and the first release has already been put up for download. the first release is the brand spanking new gigavolt album "dealbreaker"!

The ghostdrome is a non-profit boat full of ghosts, with the aim of releasing and distributing art in all forms - sound, image, and anything your artsy little minds can think of. In the near, or relatively near future, more releases will be released, including another, older gigavolt album entitled "dinosaurus stereo", which has been available for download here in paradox valley for a while. Other things in store are rumored to include comics, random music generators and experimental grindcore. Visit the ghostdrome immediately!

regarding paradox backlash, there are around 4 new recordings in the making, and they will have the bestest, harshest, motherfuckingest sound ever to have come out of our collective artistic rectum. the style will range from uptempo salsa core to blistering drummer-torturing obscenities. The songs are expected to be done in a month or so.

We recently played at the Fredericia hardcore festival, which was a super cool gig for us. Originally, we met Christian at fhf, and emil through christian, so we kind of owe them a lot. great festival!
because of this, we also have a couple of photos from the show and other things, props go out to frederik for taking pictures while we were busy rocking out. Thanks! The pictures are in the visuals -> photo section.

We have a new show coming up, ungdomshuset in copenhagen next month! This will be our first show in Copenhagen, so we're definitely looking forward to that.

As always, we're brewing up some new songs, and we hope to record them progressively, when we feel the various songs are ready to be recorded. the new songs, some of which we are currently playing live, are energetic and wild rock anthems, in other words the same as Alloy valley except not at all. hopefully the songs will be recorded before winter, in order for us to release the lot of them on a new album.

Aside from this, we are trying to do a four-way split with Ukrudt, robin the boy wonder and most likely iota! the details are not fully worked out yet, but we'd like to announce it now, just to let all you lovely people know what we're up to.

Once again, huge update here on the outskirts of the valley. We've set up a shop, so you can now buy our awesome merchandise! T-shirts dude! And of course our newly released cd will be available within a week or so, at the very affordable price of 60 kroner a piece. it's our nicest release yet, in terms of "product", with a 16 page booklet, and print on both cd's and the in- and outside of the cover. beautiful!
The other new page is the contact page, in case you want to contact us more directly, to book us or whatever. we've also updated the art page to now include band photos from shows and other stuff. The music page has gotten an overhaul as well... actually, just look around.

so... our new album brilliantly entitled "Alloy valley" is done. 31 minutes of screaming and blistering guitar rock and of course the occassional acid flashback, to quote the dude. anyway we think it rocks. the tracklist is as follows:

In the event of the completion of the album, we've also made a little photo page, where you can check out our beautiful selves and more. We'll get a better link to that up soon enough.

as always, we're extremely fucking active. as a matter of fact - we're recording a new album! a real, fully fledged paradox backlash album, presumably with 8 tracks. The drums are already recorded, the guitar is under way, and in a week from now, we hope to do bass and vocals. As for a release date... noone knows, just hopefully within a month or so.

Also, we've added a sub-page! That's right, and it's artsy as fuck! the project is gigavolt, our noise-project... very diverse, very impro. We suggest you spend a little time with the page, as it contains a lot of little secrets, hidden music and pictures... oh yeah. The link is on the left, below the menu!

oh yeah! paradox backlash has just played their first live show, on the 28th of october! in celebration of this, we kind of tidied up some things on the site, and i (christopher) have plans about adding little sub-websites for most of our side projects! That's a lot of website, lemme tell ya... i have one done, sort of as an example. of course, i'll also need to change the layout, to make space for links to the sub-site... arghh....

other projects (hopefully) coming up: alloy valley, gigavolt (a looot of music), alvor, and old fuzzy and the zombie monkey squad maybe? probably not.

That's right folks, huge update this time! we've got two whole new sections on the site, and loads of info on current projects, new songs, and all the usual. Let's start with some news:

first off, paradox backlash will be playing their first shows very soon! because of this, we have added a new "shows" section, where you can see where we are playing and with who! finally!

we're currently working on a ton of songs, which are really completely finished, but not recorded yet. the new songs are unlike anything you've heard from us before... fast, somewhat chaotic, but also kind of melodic... and also very noisy. confusing? yes. Anyway, we want to get the best sound possible for this recording, and also - we're tired of having to manufacture the covers for albums, burn the cd's manually, and mail the things around... we just want to design the stuff, so hopefully we can get someone to do the dirty work for us this time!

as a new feature here on the site, we have decided to start reviewing stuff. this could be pretty much anything, but it's our honest opinions just the same, so if you want to know what we think about the latest dance music or public transportation, look here.

lastly, mega3 and amadeus are working on a huge amount of projects, in and outside of paradox backlash, so with a little luck some of these projects will actually show up here on the site within a month maybe... or not.

anyway, we can only say - see you out there, you crazy kids you!
